October 15th was the final race of the season for the Stevens Racing team. The co-sanctioned CRSA/TSRS event at Penn Can Speedway drew 40 305 c.i. sprint cars. Stephanie was shuffled to the back of her heat race on the start due to an overly agressive move by a competitor. She was unable to make it back into one of the top five qualifying positions. She started the consolation race in the fifth position and finished third, one spot out of qualifying for the main event.

Blending School With Hobbies: How we use what we learn to do better in our hobbies.
As an aide in a first grade classroom, I had the opportunity to share my love of racing with the students. I created a week-long thematic unit, complete with language arts, math, science, and social studies lessons. To culminate the week, the Stevens Racing crew brought the car in for the school. We all had a blast!
