Show canceled due to rain.
Sunday, June 15th, 2008: Susquehanna Speedway, PA (Happy Father's Day!)
You probably would have heard from me by now had the results been better. Unfortunately, difficulties with the braking system plagued us for the heat and main event. We changed the rear caliper for the feature, but right as I was about to take the green, I noticed that my brake pedal went soft again. A rare incident caused my brake pads to fall out and I had to exit the track at the initial green flag. Official "finish" was 26th.
The team and I was bummed because we didn't get to race, but we were even more disappointed because we let down our fans, especially those who made their first trip to the ARDC races this year. Thank you to the Berry's and to John and his guests for coming out. I'm sorry that you didn't get to see me race much, but I really hope you can come back. Special thanks to Bruce and Pat for their constant support and their enthusiasm in traveling with the series to the different tracks.
I spent most of the day today washing the car, trailer, quad, etc. We have limited time this week because we have to be packed and ready to go by Thursday night That's when the team embarks on the journey south for the North Carolina swing of the ARDC tour. On Friday, June 20 we'll be at Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, NC. (I'm hoping to beat last year's fourth place finish there!) On Saturday, June 21, we'll be at County Line Raceway in Rocky Mount, NC. For those planning on attending, I'm looking forward to seeing you there. I'll be sure to keep everyone else posted on our progress.
